CallSign Software intentionally chose these high-quality DSP based radios as its first radio platform and the foundation for our realistic-like Radio display. HamStationExtreme now gives Rag-Chewers, CW Operators, Contesters, and Dx'ers a full set of features that can be used to communicate with others around the world.

Locating those DX stations has now been made easier. Those tough-to-find stations have always been present in your receiver but now HamStationExtreme provides a new level of recognition of these signals. By processing these signals in real-time using a PC based custom Digital Filter and display noise reduction algorithm, HamStationExtreme is able to display them as they are detected on a hi-resolution Laboratory Like Scope Display. HamStationExtreme also provides a dual memory system addressing the needs of Ham Radio Operators and their shortwave listening habits. You can recall saved frequency and key radio operational parameters from the Quick Memory system which allows you to quickly QSY to the station’s frequency and automatically setup the Radio’s Operating Parameters for an immediate QSO.

For the HamStationExtreme operator who enjoys Short wave listening, HamStationExtreme provides the operator with the ability to log broadcast stations, including frequency, dates, times of programs, station web data, and other pertinent station information in our SWL Memory System.

With the combined help of the Web Integration function of HamStationExtreme and the auto-fill data from the integrated Buckmaster HamCall© CD database, you can quickly perform call sign lookups and locate and identify those DX stations.

In addition to an array of standard tuning methods provided, HamStationExtreme provides users the ability to program the optional TEN TEC remote Pod. HamStationExtreme provides the ability to perform direct frequency entry and preprogrammed access to any of these functions using a function key and a ten key sequence. HamStationExtreme also has an integrated Microsoft compatible Wheel Mouse based interface more Info which allows the operator to very quickly tune, change frequency step, access PBT, RIT, XIT, SPLIT, VFO-A, VFO-B, and a host of other functions on the fly.

Building on a strong foundation, CallSign Software has employed a modern system architecture based on the full implementation of the Microsoft 32-bit architecture which includes high resolution graphics, and multi-processing. CallSign Software has targeted its software design for low end PCs such as a 300 MHz P1 / 64 Mbytes laptop. This ensures a minimum cost and maximum of performance for our users.

This Microsoft Windows© based architecture provides for a new generation of radio front panel displays that allow you to customize your user interface including the dial fonts, meter types, tuning dial formats, knobs types, filter access and scope displays to suit your operating style. HamStationExtreme also includes transmitter and receiver settings panels to aide you in customizing your transceiver's operation to your personal taste.

Finally “Reliability” is also a critical part of the CallSign Software product line. HamStationExtreme is designed with a variety of built-in software integrity checks that are performed constantly while the radio is operating. This includes a simple text based built in Error Log for diagnosing problems, and a Watchdog function that monitors communications between the radio and the radio software for any loss of connection or critical operating information.
